Refugee Teachers «Insight into Swiss Schools»: insights into the Swiss educational system

The Institute for Continuing Education and Counselling (IWB), part of the FHNW School of Education, is offering a job shadowing program for teachers, living in Switzerland as refugees, which involves observing Swiss primary school teachers in a classroom situation. By offering insights into Swiss schools and providing an opportunity for gaining familiarity with a school's culture and the daily routine of school life, the program is aimed at helping you consolidate your profes-sional knowledge with approaches to teaching practiced in Switzerland. The initiative also benefits your Swiss colleagues: your presence in their classrooms during two to four half-days promotes intercultural dialogue between professionals from different countries and helps them gain a better understanding of the challenges faced by refugee children and families.
